Wow, I thought I had seen it all when it comes to the media, but this has to take the cake.
For anyone who has been under a rock for the past week, President Trump tweeted out a GIF(Above) of him laying some smack down on Vince McMan, with a CNN logo super imposed over McMan's head. The media shit storm the followed was beyond insane. The 48 hours proceeding the tweet was filled with reporters saying the feel threatened, and now have they fear for their safety. Well have no fear, CNN found the Reddit user and contacted him via email and phone on Monday, July 3. Then on July 4th, the Reddit user issued an apology and took down all of their content. On the 5th, CNN published an article detailing their heroic deeds. And I quote from the article:
"CNN is not publishing "HanA**holeSolo's" name because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again. In addition, he said his statement could serve as an example to others not to do the same.
CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change."
It should have been "CNN is not publishing "HanA**holeSolo's" name because he is a private citizen." And that is it, but nope, he had to apologies and promise never to offend the God's again. Should he ever go against them, they will Dox him. What might this do? Well, given just how much of a blood lust the left seems to have lately, this is a direct threat to him and his family. CNN might have even broken a few law in NY and GA(One can only hope to see something come from this). Anyone with half a brain could have seen what would have happened from this article, but CNN is trapped in such an echo chamber and so out of touch with reality, they thought they were doing a service to us all.
CNN has made a fatal error in logic here. They failed to see just how deep and dark the internet can be. They tried to stifle one shit poster, and because of that, 1000's more will come out. Here are a few GIF's that have be making the rounds:
My personal favorite is the Karate Kid one. I have just a few questions for CNN:
- Will you find and Dox all the creators of these new Gifs?
- Will you release a copy of the email you sent to HanA**holeSolo?
- Will you be keeping on Andrew Kaczynski?
- Who or which editor authorized this article, and was it run through your legal department?
I think you know the answers to those questions, and sadly they are not good answers. I think the board and editorial rooms at CNN are starting to remember Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto's quote right after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941:
"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."
Well internet, go forth and shit post and make more GIF's to your heart's content.

lol this material is ridiculous. The dude has already since apologized.

Actulally, he was contacted on Monday by CNN, then Tuesday he apologized. From CNN's article:
"On Monday, KFile attempted to contact the man by email and phone but he did not respond. On Tuesday, "HanA**holeSolo" posted his apology on the subreddit /The_Donald and deleted all of his other posts."
And that is part of the problem, why should he have to apologize for a GIF or MEME? Why would CNN, a multi-million dollar company threat to Dox him?
This is amazing. I love the internet bringing down the old guard media. Don't care too much for trump but CNN can burn.
@andrewlarson agreed, CNN is trash at this point. Honestly, it wouldn't matter who did it, but just the fact they thought they could get away with it. That is what really bothered me.
