Rif Dimashq Province – The shelling returned to the Eastern Ghouta after a calm prevailed the area in terms of clashes on fronts and the artillery shelling, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored shelling by the regime forces with 5 artillery shells, they targeted areas in Otaya town located in Al-Marj area in the Eastern Ghouta, while the regime forces shelled areas in Harasta city and its outskirts, and other areas near Arbin by about 35 missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, while violent clashes took place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against fighters of Jaysh al-Islam and the Islamic Movement of Ahrar Al-Sham, on areas in the farms between the cities of Douma and Harasta, amid exchange of targeting in the clash areas between both parties..
Idlib Province – Warplanes carried out raids on areas at the outskirts and vicinity of Saraqib Town, located in the eastern countryside of Idlib, which caused material damage and killed 3 citizens at least and injured others with varying severity, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, also warplanes bombed areas in Salamin village in the same countryside which injured 7 citizens of one family including 4 children..
Hama Province – Areas in al-Zakat village in the northern countryside of Hama were shelled by the regime forces, preceded by shelling by the regime forces on areas in Kafr Zita town in the countryside itself, in conjunction with dropping barrel bombs on areas in KafrZitta, but no information about casualties..
The pace of shelling by the Turkish forces and their supported factions increases over Afrin with clashes in its northern border and in the countryside of Marea..

We do not see much about it here in the US. Knowledge is available to those who look, but nobody wants to look. Perhaps because the situation is a complex mess of waring factions, perhaps because the US had a hand in making the mess. This is the first update I have seen on Syria this year, and this is not regular media. Thanx for the news.
I think that you are right about your analysis about the US. But also in Europe, the attention for Syria decreased because the war goes on and on and the attention of the press goes to other parts of the world.

War is never a pretty thing Iraq Body count and Libya are also places we should remember. Along with modern apartheid with the Rohingas .

I often ask myself when the Syrian war will end. When studying conflict resolution I took huge interest in brainstorming on possible ways ending the Syrian war can be achieved. David L. Phillips had suggested that Syria’s violent conflict will stop when combatants realize an end-state that preserves their core interests. He opined that The United States can advance a settlement by presenting a proposal to the country’s warring factions, which devolves power from the central government to Syria’s regions. Adding that Cooperation through the International Syria Support Group (ISSG) can be preferable, but the U.S. must be prepared to act on its own if ISSG members, especially Russia, are obstructing progress.
Don't we all see wisdom in his suggestion?

its very sad news. i think its not only iraq and syria problem but also world wide problem. many baby in the world are victim for war.. it is high time to save them... so thanks for sharing. hope that everybody look after about this sectation.. great job
