As of today 27 February, the speaker of the house of Representative read a letter from the president of Nigeria which indicated that he based on financial burden that it would place on the his government.

Reactions have however started streaming in and in the next 24hours we would see much more reactions nationwide.

It should be noted that the the excuse for not signing the bill goes in line with the same reason the Nigerian Police and the Nigerian civil defence have been hammering upon. One wouldn't go far to conclude that this is another act of the police and Civil defence to further truncate the effort of the Would be Nigerian peace corps from coming to existence.

But what's the way out now? Well the Peace corps have one last card to play, the house of assembly that have given it its full support right from onset.

The house of assembly has promised to override the president on this particular bill should he reject it and since based on the influence of the Inspector general of police who has vowed to ensure the bill never gets signed (you wonder who is the actually leader of Nigeria).

Since the senate would be sitting tomorrow we would all keep our fingers crossed in anticipation
