You would be forgiven for thinking that Bishop Marian Budde used her time in the spotlight to insult and denigrate Trump. Looking at some of the online reactions from the right, it almost seems like a closed case, but I wonder if most of the outraged avatars on twitter actually listened to her message.
No time for politics
There are those among the people who are criticizing Bishop Marian Budde, who say that the problem is that she brought politics into what should have been a spiritual moment.
I sincerely don't know if the people who are making this critique are aware of what they are saying. I can almost bet the same people who are calling for the separation of church and state now, are the same ones who want religion taught in schools.
The idea that NOW, all of the sudden, we have to separate politics and religion seems laughable at best, more so considering the messengers.
All that being said, What is this that the Bishop actually said?

Against my better judgment, I found the video online and listened to the so called controversial statements made by the now infamous Bishop, the message that has been used as proof that the left is full of hate and derangement.
In the name of our god, I ask you, to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now.
there are gay, lesbian and transgender children in democratic, republican and independent families. Some, who fear for their lives.
And the people, the people who pick our crops and clean up our office buildings, who labor in poultry farms and meat packing plants. Who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants, who work the nightshifts in hospitals, they... they might not be citizens or have the proper documentation.
But the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals, they pay taxes and are good neighbors.
They are faithful members of our churches and mosques, synagogues, (unintelligible), and temples.
I ask you Mr. President to have mercy of those in our communities, whose children fear that their parents will be taken away.
And that you help those who are fleeing wars and persecution in their own lands, to find compassion and welcome here.
Basically Satanic stuff
Without even focusing on the fact that the people who love to scream about how cancel culture is killing the world, are the same ones who want to cancel Bishop Marian; I would like for someone to tell me, specifically, what was said that was so horrible.
I simply don't see it, and I'm putting on my hate goggles for the sake of understanding the mob.
As we know, Trump began attacking her on Truth Social, which meant that calling her any name under the sun, and cherry picking passages of the bible to discredit her or her message, has been a common activity since the day of the inauguration.
