Last night a friend of mine sends me this video quite late. I'm already in bed, and a little too tired to verify it to be honest. Today however, it's all over twitter, and it's got everyone talking and for good reasons.

Kids can be too honest
There are lots of people on Trump camp who are dismissing this gesture from Elon's kid, but I think they are doing so completely out of personal bias.
It's fine that the kid does not like Trump, he may have good reasons to not like him, a good reason that makes sense in his small word. That being said, what he told Trump on this short clip, his act of aggression if you will, he performed that with a tool that was not of his authoring.
Kids do listen
A common mistake grownups make, and I include myself here, Is to to think the child playing on corner of the room with his toys is not really listening.
Children are sponges, the absorb information in ways that us older people can't fully understand anymore. They may not be able to do much with that information, but their mapping of reality, the active process of understanding the world they live in requires this type of informational absorption.
My speculation
He heard that from his own father, the idea of Trump not being the real president. He may have even witnessed Elon expressing disdain for Trump when talking to people inside his inner circle. This may have been the reason why the little kid had already decided that he didn't like Trump.
Now let me ask you, How does such a possibility one that should worry us into insomnia?
MenO
What a load of rubbish!
That is not what he said and reading things into the words of a 4 year old is plain stupid.
My 5 years olds say they hate me because I wouldn't let them take a fluffy toy to school.
How many kids have you got?
Don't you remember the stupid stuff they say?
Hello brother... I agree my friend. They do say lots of dumb things, and this is kind of why I attempted to make the point that we ought to watch what we say around them. Their blunders can be embarrassing, as I'm sure you've experienced.
It's all speculation for me at this point, and I will be the first to admit that because I dislike Musk, I'm likely to accept the worse explanations.
I have to ask Andrew (my name as well btw), How do you feel about what Musk is doing these days?
I am very pleased that President Trump & Musk are doing exactly what I want (and have advocated for decades) on every single issue of importance to me.
This includes Israel (and specifically resettling Gazans), Crypto, Mars (and expanding human civilisation to the cosmos), being pro-Liberty, Free Speech and small government, anti-medical tyranny (very happy RFK Jnr has been confirmed) and focussing on the existential fertility crisis facing humanity. Also ending the tragic war in Ukraine. Trump is also maintaining the only good aspect of the Biden administration, which was enhanced enforcement of competition law, especially against Big Tech.
So 10 out of 10 in alignment for me which is amazing considering that some of these are on opposite sides of traditional left right spectrum and some are or used to be quite outside mainstream thought (Crypto, Mars & fertility particularly).
BTW: I was a few years AHEAD of Musk on Mars as a founding member of the Mars Society (1998) whose ideas and President, Dr Robert Zubrin were highly influential on Musk (who joined in 2000) and was critical to establishment of SpaceX.
I am also pleased about DOGE's work in rooting out government waste and corruption and shrinking the Federal government (hopefully as much as Musk did Twitter). This conforms to my libertarian principles although it is not something I have specifically advocated for in the past.
I had no idea how bad the waste and fraud was.
So super happy.
Appreciate your honest, I really do.
This is super cool, and I had no idea...
On some of these points I see things a bit different, but not because I disagree with you on the ideals, I'm sure we align. But because I don't see Elon and Trump living up to them.
Musk has gotten by some estimates 4.9 billion dollars of government subsidies. From a libertarian position, I can't justify that in any way shape or form.
I get the pro life position, personally I share the value that all life is precious, but from a libertarian position I believe in small government, and that it should not tell us what to do with our reproductive choices (or subsidize it)
The situation with Israel and Gaza is atrocious, depressing if you will. But, again, from a position of Liberty and America first, I'm inclined to believe we should not be involved.
Now... regarding finding abuse and waste, please, let all that information out... I think fighting against this information becoming public speaks volumes.
We all know that american politicians have benefited greatly from their position, insider trading and I'm sure dealings under the table. If they are exposed and or sent to prison for illicit enrichment, I will be cheering that hands down.
I think you have misunderstood my and Musk's position on this.
We are both pro-natal, that is encouraging people to have the maximum number of kids, by traditional OR non-traditional means and in traditional or non-traditional relationships (Musk himself has done both).
But neither Musk nor I are "Pro-Life" in the sense used in American politics to mean anti-abortion. We support reproductive choice but believe that having kids should be strongly encouraged.
This whole approach to being "Pro-Life" is very much a Christian thing. I am Jewish and Jewish Law teaches that life begins at birth (not conception as Christians believe). Thus abortion is considered self-harm of the mother, not killing an unborn child. Not good, but not murder.
In Israel you have to get permission from committees and psych evaluation (all free) to get an abortion, but it is very much allowed if it is in the interests of the mother's health.
I would 100% assume he heard this in school.
Trump is the most hated (polarizing) president of all time, and there isn't a close second.
With how much trash people are talking about Musk as well I could see a child deflecting away from the parent and onto the "source of the problem".
I'm pretty sure Elon's kid is homeschool, but your point remains intact. He must be hearing all sorts of crazy negative stuff around him all the time.
That's funny I was going to say "unless he's homeschooled or something..." but then I left it out because yeah there's some serious Musk derangement syndrome going on ever since he bought Twitter. That's a double whammy for that kid.
I think he said to Trump: ‘’Get up on your feet. Daddy wants to be at his desk.’
