Great fact list.
As an additional fact, The Boers were given land in a treaty with the Zulu king Dingane in exchange for military assistance. Then they were betrayed and slaughtered by him, but the treaty was later re-ratified by Dingane's successor, to whom the Boers had rendered assistance in wresting the throne from Dingane.
