Iran condemns Israeli air strikes to Syria. Tehran says the attack was launched under the pretext of being deliberately created.
"Iran firmly condemns the attacks by the Zionist regime in Syrian territory," foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Ghasemi said, quoted by ISNA semi-official news agency.
"The repeated attacks by the Zionist regime in Syria are under the pretext of being created by themselves and without foundation," he added.
"They are violators of Syria's national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and contrary to international law," he said as quoted by AFP on Saturday (5/12/2018).
Israel claims it attacked dozens of Iranian and Syrian targets in the conflict-ridden country early on Thursday in response to rocket fire fired by Iran to the occupied Golan Heights.
Israel rained on Syria with a massive missile post-attack on the Golan Heights. The attack involved 28 aircraft with a total of about 60 missiles fired.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) the Israeli attack killed 23 people with details of five Syrian regime troops and 18 allied troops.
