US foreign policy has no interest in the cause of freedom, or even in gaining mutual cooperation. It is solely interested in compliance.
Its stated ideal of "the global spread of democracy" is really code for the global expansion of it's military and industrial complex.
America rewards the compliant with profits, and it punishes the non-compliant with economic isolation. This is the reality we are faced with both at home and abroad.
Its "allies", I'm afraid, are much like its own citizens, as free as they are permitted to be.
