Beginnings of Biotechnological Research

The issue of biotechnology and genetically modified plants first emerged from US scientific laboratories at the end of the seventies and early eighties of the twentieth century. The policy of President Reagan, who has been on this duty since 1980, until 1988, was a copy of the policy of his close friend -British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Between them - the two proponents of the state's disintegration into the economy and the radical free market policy - had a very special friendship. But, with regard to this new scientific field of genetic engineering, as a result of recent DNA research in the DNA / RNA field, Reagan's government has decided not to let anyone in the effort to make America the number one country.
An interesting aspect of the history of legislation in the area of GMO food and genetically manipulated products in the United States since the 1980's was to provide support to biotechnological agrobusiness, which manifested affinity in favor of agrobusiness, from US state institutions to which it was entrusted mandate to protect the health and security of the American people.

A few years before the first commercial GM product arrived at the US market Reagan's government was ready to prepare a field to open the door to Monsanto and other private companies specializing in genetically modified products. The key person in Reagan's government to question the relationship to the new area of genetically modified products was former CIA director, then US Vice President George H. W. Bush, father of President Bush today.

At the beginning of the 1980s numerous agro-corporations were urgently involved in the production of genetically modified crops, animal and animal remedies, and there were no systems to regulate the development, risk and consequence of such products.

In 1986, then Vice-President Bush, in the White House, received a group of directors of a large chemical manufacturing company, Monsanta from St. Louisa, at a special meeting on strategy. The purpose of this unannounced meeting, according to former US ministry officials. Agriculture Claire Hope Cummings, was a talk about the "divergence" of the new biotechnology industry. Monsanto had a long history of cooperation with the US government, even with the Bush CIA. During the 1960s, this company produced a deadly Herbicide Agent Orange for destroying "vegetation" in Vietnam. You can assume what it did to people if got near them.

The Doctrine of essential Equivalence

Bush government concluded that the traditional US state institutions, ie the Ministry of Agriculture, the Environment Protection Agency (EPA), the Food and Drug Administration (the FDA) and the National Institute of Health (NIH) are able to assess the risks of this new GM product and that no new institution is required to supervise this revolutionary new area. In 1992 President George H. W. Bush opened Pandor's box of GMOs. One executive decree found that genetically modified crops and foods were "essentially equivalent" to traditionally grown crops of the same variety, for example
corn, soy and rice.

They imposed their thesis that genetically modified crops can be kept equal to conventional crops just because the genetically modified corn, soy or rice is by no means distinct from ordinary corn, soy or rice.

Genetic modification of a plant or organism means taking foreign genes and incorporating them into the plant or organism, for example, cotton or soy, to change their genetic structure. And this is not possible by the simple reproduction of these plants. Genetic engineering incorporates the genus of another species into a plant, and the consequences of this process are unknown and unpredictable.

In most cases, state oversight institutions simply accepted the data they generously supplied by GM food manufacturing companies and made estimates that certain new products were all right. State institutions never made any decision against the wishes and interests of large agro-enterprises.

The first genetically modified food that began mass-selling on the market was cow's milk containing genetically modified or recombinant bovine growth hormone, or rBGH(so called Posilac)
Namely, rBGH, produced and patented by Monsanto, gave cows to give more milk. The Food and Drug Administration has declared this milk harmless to nutrition before information were available on how genetically manipulated milk can affect human health. Monsanto and other big companies claimed and promised 30% more effectivity.

But Monsanto rBGH, Posilac, did not only stimulate cows to give 30% more milk. At the same time, it stimulated the production of another hormone, IGF-1, which regulates cow metabolism. Various independent scientists have been interviewed and warned that Monsanto's rBGH product increases insulin growth factor (IGH-1) and can be associated with cancer. Farmers have begun to declare that their cows are "burned" in just two years, and that many have severe inflammation of the lice or wheezing. With other problems, it meant that the cows could not walk. And that meant again that they should be given more antibiotics to treat inflammation.

Revoolving Door Policy

It was named for the usual practice by which its officials, after expiration of their term, go to high positions in large corporations, which, thanks to their influence and connections, will contribute to the company's progress. This practice is also in the reverse direction, which means that the leaders of various corporations are placed at the highest level in the Government, and again, within the Government, they promote and assist the proliferation of corporations.

The conclusion could not be avoided: the US government was the main catalyst for the "genetic revolution" of genetically modified cultures and their spread throughout the world. US goverment cooperated with giant agrochemical companies like Monsanto and Dow, as if they were private interest. This devious food strategy lasts from the time of the world food crisis from the early 1970s. Then a fatal policy was conceived, the consequences of which would change the dynamics of global food security irreversibly.

Nice post my brotha! Keep up the good work and work hard!

Look forward to see more informative posts from you in the future!

Peace out

Consider that most GMOs are field crops, corn and grains and soy, and that the modification they make is to allow the plant to accept Roundup, so perhaps it is not the modified genes causing the problems but all the roundup that is sprayed on those plants causing problems.

This is corruption and deception for profit and control at its most cynical.

Our poor world weeps!

Unless we try to change it, after all it is the right time :)

There are lots of awake folks here so I have hope.

The light will win for sure.

I invite you to check out some of my longer format posts which are what I deem 'Kitchen Sink Spirituality'.

i am an artist/writer/lightworker with lots to say.

Have a great weekend.

My wife's doctor actually recommended that she only drink organic milk as rBGH leads to breast growth and/or cancer.

Milk itself is not a good ingredient for human consumption!

Have you ever seen any animal species that drinks the milk from different specie? I don't think so.

If you would like to take my advice, I would kindly advise your woman to produce her own milk from various organic Nuts you can find pretty much everywhere :)

Most meat eaters will gladly drink cows milk, cats and dogs love it. Have you ever seen any animals species that drinks nut milk?

Lmao, nice argument, I guess I didn't... Maybe they don't prefer it

Or can't rationally make a decision and actually make one ;)

You be the judge
