Ah yes I can certainly see what you mean, but equally if they were extraterrestrial and able to travel between planets I believe that they would probably have been able to take over the planet by now. If you look at ancient hieroglyphs they actually contain images of alien spacecraft. As such they may have been here alongside humanity for thousands of years. If this is the case (and of course this is all hypothetical) it hints at the fact that they need us for something, perhaps they feed upon our energy? I don't believe this is about killing us all, yes many will die but our adaptability will ensure that some will survive and continue to live a controlled electronic prision. The background radiation could ensure that they can interact with us more easily. Watch this space as I have some posts coming up over the next few weeks that contain some of these ideas. :D

Well @perceptualflaws they may well need us for something as you say !! Is it food or maybe just maybe reproduction purposes as they may have lost their ability to reproduce and use our females as incubators for themselves ! But then its true with their level of technology you would think this could not be the case as indeed we ourselves can now reproduce without need of our females !! Its certainly a strange conundrum and I look forward to any suggestions you might well have on this !! So looking forward to your future posts !!
