Geopolitical finger-pointing begins!

Things are heating up massively in terms of passing the blame across the global political spectrum.

Investigative research shows that the US funded research into Gain of Function in Wuhan, after multiple screw-ups stateside forced a moratorium on such research being performed in the US.

However, competence and lab safety wasn't any better in China, according to leaked diplomatic cables that urgently called for more assistance for the Wuhan labs.

The propensity of mounting evidence available right now leans in the direction that the coronavirus (a) emerged adjacent to a Chinese lab known to be researching gain of function techniques which (b) was backed in part by US funding to do such research.

The ramifications of this seem significant, especially as Dr. Fauci himself allegedly signed off on the research. 🍿

What proportion of culpability lies with which party? Only an independent international investigation can ascertain that.
We urgently need IAEA-style investigation teams to probe this incident, and to monitor similar research in future, or ideally ban it outright.

This must never, ever happen again.
