The seat’s been held by a Democrat since 1899 but that includes decades under Jim Crow when southern Democrats were quite different from southern Democrats now.
But district boundaries changed more than once including just two years ago. It’ll probably come down to voter turnout.
Thanks for the additional information. I can always count on you for that. I wonder how much impact jerrymandering had to do with it as well. Some of these districts have completely crazy borders.
