Im still a staunch liberal - except i dont accept the claim of progressives that they are liberal. But i realise that in the US that flies.
And conservatism? Its hard to find a more conservative value than liberalism (in the west, that is, chinese conservatism is communistic) except either religion or monarchy. Other than that...There where a few times and places after the birth of liberalism in the UK back in the early 1700s which really were not liberal, but non stuck around.
