Yeah that's right you probably are.
We have all heard the evils of the world are all the responsibility of the dark powers known as the New World Order whether you think it's the Freemasons, Majestic 12, The Bohemian Grove, the IMF, the Rothschilds, The Firm or some terrible amalgamation behind the scenes pulling the strings that make the world dance to their tunes.
The truth is you, yes you are probably part of the powers that be.

I know you reading this thinking no way dude I'm not the man!. Well let's just take a look
Pinko Thieves.
No disrespect meant in that title if that's your particular political group it's just that somehow I recently got caught up on some militant socialist Faceblag page now this is a little strange first because I'm not a big Faceblag person and second because I don't much engage with militant socialists.
What was interesting was the group's advocation of radicalization, that they encouraged and celebrated the idea of violently redistributing wealth, now while this post doesn't have time to fully break down the intricacies of wealth redistribution vs taxation in any real way so I'm just going to gloss over it quickly.

The post above is just one of the more light-hearted of its kind to be found in these circles.
The next two sections below will sound like a contradiction but there is a difference between the two.
Redistribution of Wealth is theft.
No ifs and or buts the violent redistribution of wealth is theft. It does not matter how good the reason, it does not matter how much doing so will make you look feel like Robin Hood.
It all comes down to one question are you entitled to the sweat of your brow and the fruits of your labor? For myself, the answer is a firm yes and the idea that others advocate that someone's efforts should be removed from them by violent force simply because they are too successful in their efforts is, to say the least worrying.
Taxation is not wealth redistribution its the price of participation.
It's going to look really strange arguing that taxation isn't theft after arguing that wealth redistribution is but there is a difference, taxation is not wealth redistribution, taxation is the cost of participation in the social system long ago societies decided that at least in some part those that participate would share at least some of the burden of cost for running our systems, these include police protection, fire and emergency services, roads and maintenance, industrial infrastructure.
Here is where people get confused, it's hard to look at those other reasons like fire and emergency services and fail to see that they are communal resources that should justly and fairly be supported by our tax dollars, it gets a little strange in some peoples minds when tax funds are funneled towards social services like welfare and Medicare.
The reason it gets confusing is that at a glance it appears to be simply the taking of wealth from those that have it and just handing it over to those that haven't worked for it while looking at it through the lens of communal resources that should be supported it looks a little different, the greatest communal resource a nation has is it their people and therefore their health, wellness, and access to education are a communal responsibility as is a healthy educated population that is most able to give back to the community.
For the record, I live in Australia where we have an incredibly strong social welfare system and a universal health care system of Medicare and believe that these things are just and good.
The Wealthy Elite.
This is where I get to the point that you are probably the New World Order.
One of the most common arguments against the super wealthy is their success that statistic that the top 1% that very tiptop of the pyramid owns half the global wealth while that 1% sounds like a tiny number but chances are that if you live in the west are gainfully employed you are probably much, much closer to that 1% than you realize.

There are a few ways of looking at wealth. If you want the truest picture we need to be looking at net wealth, to grab a snapshot we can use your annual income neither of these is perfect due to something called purchasing power parity which demonstrates that wealth expressed in dollars is not a true marker poverty there are many regions around the world whose average income would be considered extreme poverty in a U.S. city whose income may perfectly meet the food and shelter needs in their area.
Where are you?
Before you read further here is some quick homework for you, go have a look where you stand I have three links for you now you don't have to use all of them but they are handy to put things in perspective.
Global Richlist lets you enter either your Annual income or your net worth to calculate just how close you are to that 1% (I think its numbers are exaggerated) | |
---|---|
OECD Compare Your Income Lets you compare within your nation and if you wanted to convert your numbers with other countries | |
Givingwhatwecan Is a charity focused site that again lets you enter your income and family situation to see how well off you are but also shows really well the effects of potential donations on your income and the world. |
There is a verse in Tools Hooker with a Penis after a "fan" tells him the band is selling out to the "man"
Well now I've got some advice for you, little buddy.
Before you point the finger you should know that I'm the fucking man,
And if I'm the man, then you're the man, and he's the man as well
So you can point your fuckin' finger up your ass.
I had never much thought about those lines before writing this post, instead, I just enjoyed the song but while researching and chewing on the post It really occured to me that these are the words of a man that wasn't lying to himself about his position and wasn't going to put up with someones else's self-denial.
In case you skipped the homework.
This is a quick assessment using $ Aud it's by no means perfect in fact my pyramid graph hurts my eyes and heart to look at.
In Australia, we have a median annual income of around $66,000 if that's you then you're richer than 50% of the Australian population nothing two exciting right just middle of the road, well that same $66,000 puts you in the top 5% globally for income you filthy rich global elitist scum, ohhhh you just wait till those militant socialists find your address.
But wait there is more if you not working and your being supported by tax dollars in Australia on our Newstart system with a piddle sounding $11,500 a year that still puts you only just outside of the top 20% for global income (let's just ignore that purchasing power parity I mentioned before)
Hypocrisy.
The whole reason I started writing this post was that I was really struck by the hypocrisy in that Faceblag group advocating the use of violent force the steal others efforts all if could see was snide, overly righteous people making edgy comments and posts having the gall to do so from their latest Applesung phones or Macbook air sitting in a Starbucks patting themselves on the back for fighting the man ignorant of their position in the system, ignorant to the reality that half the world lives on less a year than the cost of a high-end smartphone.
If you want to check out a much more entertaining summary of how you are the New World Order check out this from Juicenewsmedia.
GET REAL KNOW WHERE YOU ARE.
Seriously chances are your pretty blessed go check out that Givingwhatwecan have a look and think if there is any way for you to give, don't make posts complaining that others are richer
Kind Regards
Shai Peter.
