Although many do not agree with the stimulus package that occurred due to the great 2008 recession I am glad to see that it was mostly spent at home instead of lining the pockets of the military industrial complex and all of their corrupt contracts and wasteful spending. We need to refocus on nation-building back at home instead of overseas.
I agree a country in such debt should reduce necessary expenditures - both at home and abroad.
Much better to invest at home - but there must be an asset at the end of the investment.
Unfortunately I cannot see any tangible assets as a result of the 2008 stimulus. No Hover Dam or National Highway System or modern day equivalent.
yeah it would have been nice if that money had gone to infrastructure that is badly needed. also with an increasing population and shifting populations new places have different demands and repair needs.
