Arctic sea ice is at the fastest decline in 1500 years

in #politics7 years ago

According to NOAA the Arctic Ocean shows no signs of returning to the reliably frozen state it was in just a decade ago.

The report released by scientists shows that the Arctic is warming at twice the rate as the rest of the world. As this trend continues we can expect warmer ocean waters a much more storms in our future.

The south pole has grown this is just normal weather cycles

Actually that is no longer correct, south pole hit a record low last year https://steemit.com/politics/@suffragator/antarctica-hit-its-lowest-ice-extent-ever-recorded-by-satellites

He confessed that while the Antarctic sea ice area is increasing, experts do not know how thick the ice really is because they lack the means to measure it.

Looking at this issue based on a specific 10, 20, or 30 year period is small-minded. If a significant volcano erupts global temperatures will decline. One example of our environment constantly influx.

10, 20, or 30 years of glacial melt is all it takes for coastal cities to begin flooding, luckily this is just sea ice so it should not have too much effect on flooding, but it will increase ocean water temperatures which means more storms
