Canada is expected to become the first G7 nation to fully legalize marijuana by Friday, fulfilling a 2015 campaign promise of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. On Monday, Ottawa’s House of Commons voted 205 to 82 to send the legislation back to the Senate after accepting all but 13 of the 46 amendments proposed by the upper body. The debate in the Senate continued on Monday afternoon, with Senator Peter Harder urging his colleagues to pass Bill C-45 – known as the Cannabis Act – without further changes.

My thoughts on this news
This is great news, good to see Canada is making the right choice for it's people. There is no need to bring criminal charges against people and lock them up in jail for something the majority of the population wants to be legal. This is a good step forward that will hopefully force the US government to also move in the right directions, but with idiots like Trump and Jeff Sessions in charge we will probably have to wait until the next election. The majority of the American people want marijuana to be legalized yet the US government loves that tax payer money it gets and uses it, to fight a never ending war on drugs. Everyone who votes in the USA needs to only vote for politicians who are for legalization...

Pretty awesome! We've been reporting on this since day one and it's so exciting to see it come this far.
Yes, this is really great news, I hope this puts more pressure on the US government to make the right choice for US citizens also :)
