I am not spreading lies, Jeff Sessions already spoke on television about this and stated that this policy was started in April. Children were never separated from their parents before April. I do no agree with Obama's immigration policies either, he actually deported more people than Bush did before him, but he never separated children from their families, the detention centers during the Obama administration allowed families to stay in them together, here is an article where this picture was used

They never separated families, this is a new policy under Trump, I think you are being misinformed
"this is a new policy under Trump". More lies.
Read the law yourself: https://www.congress.gov/bill/107th-congress/house-bill/5005/titles
The law you just posted proves my point, like I said detention centers for children have always existed, look at the law, see where it says "unaccompanied alien child" that means children who have crossed the border without a parent or guardian are taken to these detention centers. What the Trump administration is doing is taking children who have crossed the border with a parent or guardian, taken those children away from them and locking them up in these detention centers, this was not a policy before Trump. Before Trump families were kept together until a court decided what to do with them.
Ahem, read part (ii) again. If a parent is a arrested while accompanying a child - what does that child become?
UNACCOMPANIED.
Therefore they go to a detention center because there is no legal guardian available to care for them. Deductive reasoning isn't really your strong point is it...
LOL, ok, you can read between the lines if it makes you feel better.
But this was not done prior to April when Trump started his zero tolerance policy
