RE: The Steemit Country - New World Order

in #politics7 years ago

Interesting idea, of which some, I think could come to pass. Blockchain will revolutionize security & how business keeps records. However, we have a Constitution. Are you talking about making it just the Popular Vote, and doing away wiith the Electoral College? How about those not involved with Steemit? Are you basically saying we're doing away with our Founding Document altogether?

Sort:

The Constitution can continue to exists until the government is gone and voluntary social platforms replace it. If the Constitution was not so misread and applied incorrectly so often we would not have such an out of control corrupted Government. As I said before, the Constitution only limits what OFFICERS OF THE COURT can do to the subjects within the District of Columbia. To go into detail on why the electoral college is so messed up is a very long discussion.

Electoral College took a long time to be worked out. How to keep the majority from dominating the minority. How to keep 51% from dominating the 49%. It is not messed up. The idea of a volutary government is great. That's what local government should be. Neighbor helping neighbor.

That is not what the electoral college is. Every single citizen of the united states of America is represented by the District Of Columbia. Not their electoral representative. Please prove me wrong.

District of Columbia voting rights
Voting rights of citizens in the District of Columbia differ from the rights of citizens in each of the 50 U.S. states. The United States Constitution grants each state voting representation in both houses of the United States Congress. As the U.S. capital, the District of Columbia is a special federal district, not a state, and therefore does not have voting representation in Congress. The Constitution grants Congress exclusive jurisdiction over the District in "all cases whatsoever".
