Ok, I still gotta read the rest, but this part stopped me short:

Please stop implying that it's a shady alias. Her name is Chinyere Oparah. My understanding is she changed it 7-10 years ago to honor her Nigerian heritage. It's her name on Facebook, on her Wikipedia page, and in everyday life. (Officially the "Julia" is still there, which I'm guessing is because she's published books under her old name.)
I don't know what part she plays in all of this. But she started out in the Ethnic Studies department, which she still leads and teaches in, and she helped start the Queer Studies department and push the trans policy through. I don't think she deserves the trash talk.
The faculty voted no confidence in her, specifically. I agree with their decision. You are welcome to have a different opinion. Don't you think it's a bit weird that she quit in February, but stayed on to deliver the (attempted) kill shot to Mills?
If she had done a good job with admissions the College would not be in its current state.
