Celebrating powerful activists who stood up for humanity and were therefor assassinated for it, always seemed more like a rude bullying warning than anything inspirational. Surely there have been other cases of people unafraid to stand up to a corrupt power that have succeeded, I just don't think we here the bragging rights about those as much. So I think it will end differently because this time too many are aware and not having it.
