Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, spoke at Texas A&M recently and made a stunning admission about when he was the director of the CIA.
"...I was the CIA director. We lied, we cheated, we stole. It’s — it was like — we had entire training courses. It reminds you of the glory of the American experiment." he said while laughing and the audience applauded. What's there to applaud? The CIA has lied us into countless wars since Vietnam. People should be horrified by this revelation. Is lying us into wars another American tradition that gets grandfathered in?
As CIA Director, he claimed that WikiLeaks is a "non-state hostile intelligence agency" manipulated by Russia, and all of the media repeated his claim uncritically. All of you #Resistance types who want to say "Julian Assange is a Russian spy", you're allied with this fuckface, who is allied with Trump.
This should be a learning point that the next time the CIA makes an extreme claim like "Iraq has WMDs" or "Russia is meddling in our elections" or "Assad gasses his own men" or "Maduro is an evil dictator who oppresses his own people" with no evidence, the appropriate response is to doubt. The CIA doesn't work for you. They're all sociopathic liars and they should be the last group of people you should trust, regardless of who is president.
