Servant leadership is a form of leadership developed to overcome a leadership crisis experienced by a society or nation.
The selected leaders are expected to be able to manage the resources they have for the more prosperous community. They are elected and trusted to lead the people to be more prosperous and to build a more advanced country. The hands and shoulders of their future and the aspirations of the people are determined and hung.
However, again and again the people disappointed and lost confidence in the leaders. Just look at the condition of the welfare of the people who are still concerned, public services that have not met expectations and various cases of corruption that occurred.
It is also true that the notion that "the concept of the leader serving the people is less relevant" and indeed it is better that the people serve the bureaucracy. Leaders who move, because can not be a single leader serve hundreds of millions of people.
