Good move. Done the same. Also I'm patient too. Been waiting since May for a ticket to be resolved. My hunch tells me they haven't really put their "Trollbox staff on support". They let the Trollbox die because they can't afford it anymore. If they had more staff now on support, tickets would be resolved much much quicker. Given that they did this about a month ago, doing so must have meant that their backlog should be cleared or at least clearer by now – if they answer oldest (and therefore most urgent requests) first, which I presume they don't. So there's something really fishy going on.
