Growing up as a child, I was thought that life isn’t a bed of roses. I didn’t have what every other kid had and couldn’t take the best of things to school as other kids did and that gave me a very low self-esteem. I never believed I could be like other kids and thought nothing good could ever come out of me. I thought life was worthless and questioned myself several times on the purpose of my existence.
My humble beginning gave me a humble personality. I always kept to myself and never really made friends. Kids often laughed at me when I walk into the class and nobody really wanted to associate with me because I was from a poor family.
Nevertheless, I took up the challenge to do better in my school works to prove to myself and others around me that being poor wasn’t the end of the world and that I could become better that every other person as a poor kid and it worked.
I began to study really hard and it could be seen in my grades. Soon enough other students became envious of me and wanted to know the secrete to my success and that made them draw closer to me.
That singular experience changed my entire mentality and I suddenly saw myself gradually becoming an optimist. I have finally grown, knowing that no situation in life is permanent. And that all I need to do is be POSITIVE about every situation.
Positivity breeds solutions. One can only find a solution to a problem when he thinks there is a solution to it. A positive mind-set never grows weary. Today I am a graduate and working in a company that pays me well. If I have continued with my pessimistic nature, I wouldn’t have been where I am today. Thinking life is worthless leads to suicidal thoughts so I implore everyone reading this today…POSITIVITY PAYS.
