That is the burn account, nobody owns it so every coin you send there will forever stay there.
I know, I'm a coder myself. There are 59 mentions to @null, which is about 26% of the mentions. Talking about "distribution" and "tokens earned" isn't quite clear if they're burned or shown as burned. It also looked like a glitch.
I think if there is no hive account associated to the tweet then it gets sent to null. And everything sent to null can be considered as burnt
