CONTEST! | My 2020: Just a normal day | A routine I love

in #posh5 years ago

2020 arrived, a year with many blank pages to write our history, full of dreams, illusions, lessons and opportunities.

Speaking of opportunities, @blocktrades brings us again a great contest, in which we are asked to share just how a normal day in our lives is.

It's something that each of us can do in our own way. Only everyone knows their day.

And so begins for me a normal day...

It's 5:10 AM, my husband wakes me up, but it's still dark, so I let myself stay in my bed a little longer, while he prepares breakfast. At almost 6:00 AM, I get ready to get up in the face of the impending sunrise.

I'm going to wake up our kids, with hugs and kisses. They smile at me and their arms are tightly around me, as if they didn't want to lose me. It's a sublime way to start the day.

After taking a shower, I get dressed and my children are also active preparing for this new day. For this moment, breakfast is ready: arepas stuffed with some protein such as meat, chicken, cheese, eggs... is our first option; bread with cheese, the second; and always accompanied by a nice clear coffee or with milk. When we are all at the table, we begin by thanking God for our food. My children always want to do this and they take turns so as not to miss the opportunity to give thanks. Then we enjoy the blessing of eating as a family

Now we're going to do our own thing. Usually my daughter goes to school on the school bus, I go to my office in my vehicle and my husband goes to his in his truck. Our son studies in the afternoon, so he spends his mornings at my mother-in-law's house and then my husband or I drive him to school. This routine varies according to the availability of the vehicles. Currently, mine is damaged, so my husband carries a greater load. Luckily, I am at my workplace in 15 minutes, so I am not getting up early here. The city where I live now, doesn't have that terrible thing called traffic.

Here in Venezuela, the working day is 8 hours a day and starts at 7 AM. Where I am, at the moment we can not fulfill it completely, due to some unfavorable conditions, which I hope will improve soon.

I am one of the lucky ones who loves what she does, so my time at the office goes by quickly.

It's soon to be noontime. A little after 12 I go home and prepare lunch (when my husband arrives first, he prepares it). When everyone is home, we have lunch. My son has to eat with his grandmother because of his school schedule.

In the afternoons, we watch TV, do homework, both at home and at school, play games, study... we also make a habit of writing a list of thanks per day. Today I prepared an auyama cake, it's a very simple dessert to make and I love it.

My husband is looking for my son at school, who has his 5:30 karate class. When he gets home he just has time to change quickly and then my husband takes him and, among other things, walks around while waiting for him until 7 PM when he leaves his class.

Also at 5:30 is my aerobics routine, for my fortune the instructor gives them in my urbanization, that I love. It's an hour that revitalizes me.

Then I make dinner, and when my husband and son arrive, we have dinner. This happens at approximately 7:30 PM. At each meal we practice thanking each other. The dough for the pastries you see in the picture was kneaded by my daughter. She loves to knead, so she always does it and it suits her very well.

We take a bath and start the bedtime routine. We all go to bed together and read the Bible. It is a relaxing time that leaves us ready to rest until a new day.

All images used are own. The separators were made from a photograph of my own, edited in powerpoint; while the photographs shown were decorated with the image editing application InShot, downloaded from Play Store. I am not very good with English, however I supported myself with the help of DeepL translator.
