RE: Do you think I should follow you? Convince me

in #post7 years ago

Hi @jga. My teammate @lynncoyle1 actually sent me your post of the mathematical analysis. We both are in @abh12345's curation and engagement leagues and she expressed interest in learning how we could make it on to the curation league (so far we've only been contenders on the engagement league).

So she sent your post my way...hehe..let's just say your mathematical analysis went over both our heads! It looks like an insane amount of thought process involved and I do commend you on sharing. Math isn't one of Lynn and mine's favorite topic. :)

Thank you for sharing your depth filled analysis!

Thank you very much for doing this @beeyou! I'm so glad that we can both admit where our deficiencies lie, or perhaps it's simply disinterest... ;)

We have to keep an open mind @lynncoyle1. Or we will never make it on to the curation league. ;)

Fair enough! I do understand what's being said here, and what Asher says, it's just that my focus is elsewhere. Takes a lot of time doing what we do, and I think it takes just as much time focusing on doing well in the first League.

Hi @beeyou, I didn't know about the leagues, the contest seems to be very interesting.
My summary about curation rewards is:

  • Vote 30 minutes after the publication of the post.
  • Vote posts that have an actual payout of $0.00, or posts that you think will be very well upvoted (maybe developments on utopian).

You should check out @abh12345's curation league then @jga. Leave a comment for Asher saying you would like to enter. That's it. He does all the rest and you can see your results every Sunday. He has the same perspective on maximizing curation rewards. I hate to drop links off on someone else's post, but it's at the top of my blog if you want to check it out.

He also mentioned utopian and sndbox as good picks, but I feel that it has to do with one's interest here on Steemit. If your goal is to maximize curation rewards, then yes, hit all those accounts. It really isn't hard to find the posts to upvote on for maximizing rewards if that is the goal. Even looking at the bid-bot sites will give you ideas.

For others, like myself, curation rewards are not at the top of our priority list. A lot of members from our #newbieresteemday community share our upvotes with newbies and community members that volunteer their time, SBD, or SP to helping others. especially newbies grow on here. We also try to help with the @newbieresteemday account.

Making it to the curation league would be awesome one day, but at the moment, there are too many others we can help with our little upvote worth.

I agree with you, this is not my first priority. What I like is to educate the people about this blockchain, develop useful tools, and share my knowledge if it is useful for someone :)

In this process, I also have to learn a lot from the community and the curation a is part of this engagement. Thanks for your comment.

Two members of my team are also interested in learning about the blockchain and development tools. I did send your post over for their review too. I think they liked all those mathematical equations and analysis. Their mind works that way too. :)

Thanks for sharing your interest. It really does help in understanding this world of steem blockchain.

Hi @jga, I just wanted to introduce myself and say thank you as well for sharing your knowledge, even though it went way over my head haha

You should really join Ashers' Curation League; you'd love the stats I think, but also there's a wonderful group of people there that you could meet as well!

Cheers!
