Totally agree with you on life suckiness, but we get through it somehow. I love my son to death he's a sweet kid he just loved finding the scariest object in the room picking it up and chasing (Ripley) with it. And no idea what the housing situation will be when the house sells. Ripley is such a sweet dog, very gentle and loves kids, but she is easily startled and scared. So she would either be getting chased around by my kid who has no long term memory of how to love the dog yet or locked up by herself.
So I decided to do what seemed best for her and found a family with their own home and a gated yard and two older kids. Evidently their kids were so happy they cried when she came home and she sleeps with them at night and plays Barbies with them during the day :)

I just had an image of her with a big bonnet sitting patiently during "tea time" with Barbies. Sounds like puppy heaven especially if tiny sandwiches are involved. LOL Sounds like you made a very difficult, but loving decision.
