On Tuesday 6/1/2018, Wealth DynamX and Operation:Reborn, the non-profit partner of Wealth DynamX, met with the Department of Labor in Anchorage, Alaska to discuss how to further the mission to eradicate poverty, starting in Anchorage, Alaska.
The board members of Operation:Reborn, Jerry Fetta of Wealth DynamX, Cliff Goughnour of Alaska Management Group, Matthew Lindsay of Precision Home Group, and Shawn Idom of Hair Science Barber Shop and Barber School, put together a meeting with the Department of Labor Workforce Development office in Alaska. The focus of this meeting was to create a unique partnership between the Department of Labor Workforce Development office and Operation:Reborn to be able to facilitate the at-risk communities of Anchorage back into the workforce. This focus was successful.
Operation:Reborn was founded by Jerry Fetta, Cliff Goughnour, Matthew Lindsay, and Shawn Idom in January of 2018 with the mission of feeding, grooming, and empowering the at-risk communities of Anchorage so that they can get back into the work force and end poverty in their own lives; feeding because an individual cannot extrovert until his needs are met, grooming because an individual with confidence can conquer anything, and empowering because education is the best way to improve conditions for a person.
It is a well-known fact that Anchorage, Alaska has a reputation for crime rates, suicide rates, violence rates, sexual assault rates, and homelessness. Operation:Reborn believes that one of the root causes behind this is unemployment. A busy person simply doesn’t not have time to get into trouble the way a bored person does. I say bored because when a person is not occupying their time and energy with fruitful labor, the individual tends to occupy their time and energy with activities that can be destructive to themselves and the environment around them.
As the owner of Wealth DynamX, the main reason I co-founded and support Operation:Reborn is because it is my personal mission to help others build wealth so that they can eradicate poverty in their own lives and own their potential. Over the last several months, we have been doing this at Operation:Reborn on the 2nd Sunday every single month, resulting in hundreds of job applications submitted for Operation:Reborn attendees and dozens of individuals hired.
We will now be able to do this much more effectively with our partnership with The Department of Labor and Workforce Development, who will be providing space for our attendees to come in and receive resume building, job training, interview rehearsing, and even host interviews for employers and candidates to be hired on the spot. Our efforts continue to pay off as we push to eliminate poverty starting right here in our backyard of Anchorage, Alaska.
We look forward to a successful partnership, beginning with our next event on June 10th at Hair Science Barbershop and Barber School. At 11 am on June 10th, Operation:Reborn will be hosting a job fair, which will be attended by The Department of Labor and Workforce Development to convert attendees into applicants and applicants into productive, able, and thriving employees.
