The last couple of days have not been that great - I won't go into the reasons, except to say that I was able to feel a bit better by last night.
Today, I got up and made a list of everything that I needed to do today and set off in my car in order to achieve everything.
All went well and I returned home.
While I was out shopping, I had bought some more gold fish flakes for my fish - I had not fed him this morning as I intended to clean his bowl before his normal morning feed.
So, I started to prepare everything for the bowl and pebble cleaning - and then picked up the fish bowl to move it on to the counter.
I don't know what happened, but somehow the bowl slipped from my hands and fell to the floor and smashed into pieces!! - water and tiny pebbles everywhere.
My first thought was "where is my fish?"
Then I saw him flapping madly on the floor and quickly scooped him up into my hands and popped him into a bowl of water that was on the counter - this is where I put him when changing his water.
You cannot begin to imagine the mess that I had to clear up - water, pebbles and glass everywhere! - not to mention my drenched shoes and clothes.
The next problem was where to put my fish - and then I remembered that I had a nice deep glass salad bowl.
Well, this is his new home for now - no pebbles as I had to throw them all away as I didn't want any small pieces of glass to hurt him, so will get some more later.
He has now been fed and is adjusting to his new home and hopefully is getting over the shock of the fall.
