Some months ago, I bought a Moringa tree and planted it in a container.
Unfortunately, it was at the beginning of winter and my small tree did nor like the cold and wet weather and started to look very sad and all the leaves fell off.
I eventually cut it right back and covered the plant with compost.
I was convinced that it had died and so imagine my surprise when the other day I saw a tiny new shoot developing.
Obviously the warm weather now that summer has arrived in Cape Town is agreeing with my tree.
The health benefits of the Moringa leaves are well known and so I am hoping that all will be well with my tree from now on.
The other plant that I am thrilled about is my Chrystal Apple cucumber that has produced the first cucumber and is developing nicely.
There are many others that have been pollinated by the bees and the tiny cucumbers are beginning to form so if the wind does not blow them off, I am hoping to get quite a few more cucumbers soon.
As I am growing them in a container, I think that they may not be as big as if planted in the ground, but I may be wrong so time will tell.
Very cool your Moringa tree survived and has sprouted! It would never live here. :(( I have to enjoy them vicariously through those of you who live where it will grow.
Yes it is quite a miracle that it has, hoping it continues to grow - still tiny though.
