I was going to title this emptiness and loss, but loss is but a symptom of something much deeper...

There’s nothing wrong with passion, it can take us to great heights and can also see us through the barriers that stand in our way.
Emotions on the other hand are heady and pull us into their depths.
I think that emotions are like flowers; it's up to us which ones we put our attention on. But sometimes emotions come all on their own.

Is life a series of choices?
When we're small our choices are given to us, but as we grow older we find that life becomes packets of choices that lead down certain paths.
How do we choose? What is our passion?
Some choose by feeling; and some by circumstance; but first you have to have it in your mind, right?
If you've never thought of it then how can it come to you?
To paraphrase Mr Prem Rawat: “As we grow we begin to see life through a grid, something we've been taught; we measure everything through the eyes of the grid.”
And yet we long for freedom from the grid.
So what is freedom: absence of grid, or, the feeling of freedom?
How do we allow ourselves to feel?
Emotions are our reactions to what we have allowed ourselves to feel.
Something touches us and emotes an emotion; such as a thought from the past tied to an emotion where we’ve felt pleasure or joy.
Perhaps pleasure from certain music that we've heard and liked that may be tied to a good time.
When the object of our passion or love leaves us we can feel loss, and sometimes great loss.
Loss is the most powerful pain we can go through; it cuts right to the very depths of our heart.
There’s no other emotion as powerful as loss.
Why, because we are love. And loss brings emptiness, and the greater the sense of loss the greater the feeling of emptiness.
Great loss can bring great enlightenment if you have the courage to go into the heart of it.

If you look to your heart you’ll find that’s where the pain is. Go into this pain, this hurt and follow it to its source. If you have the courage to go all the way, that’s where you may find your release and your greatest joy.
Normally, it takes time to heal, sometimes a lot of time, and until healing comes we just have to carry on somehow.
A time will come when the joy of life comes back; and we’ll find we've become stronger.
In a way, life is a series of feelings from beginning to end; but without the feeling of love life would be meaningless; and the funny thing is, we are love.
When you know that, you have found freedom.
How close are we to that most divine inspiration?
We are as close as our own heart.

I used to do it on fb but then fb stopped my posts from being seen; so now I do it on phc, regardless of who comes along, or who doesn't come along to chat to me...
As long as you are happy!
I agree, it’s all about the choices we make and yes, we are love. Nice writing ✍️
Thank you

I've always struggled to feel emotions. I'm not a naturally emotional or emotive person. You know what works for me? Fake it 'til you make it. After faking (mimicking) emotions long enough, I've learned to actually feel some of them.
Me too; and now death whispers in my heart that it's too late....
Beautifully written, my friend
