“I’ll do it later”
“I have enough time”
“I can use a minute or two to relax”
These are very easily said without understanding the value of each minute. Not to scare you but its true that we don’t know how much time we have. The situation may change, the environment may change, the opportunities and resources may change, so keeping a check on time is essential.
I recently came across a term, Time Consciousness.
From the words itself we understand that its about being aware of how we manage our time. A simple exercise is practiced to understand this term.
THE MARBEL EXERCISE FOR TIME CONSCIOUSNESS:
In a jar you put marbles (or pebbles or anything that works for you). The number of pebbles should be equal to how long you expect to live. The aim of this exercise is to look at your yearly goals and be conscious about the time that is passing so fast.
This is a good way to keep a track of our time, however some may find it bizarre.
The thing with time is, it is going to proceed anyway so using it efficiently and effectively will give us a feeling that we have done something productive with time.
Doing something every minute is better than doing nothing at all.
Nice. I like that.
the only day that we have is today, that's my teacher always said
