Let's follow the golden rule of prayer
“But without faith it is impossible to please God; because it is necessary t
hat the one who approaches God believes that there is, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him. –Hebrews 11: 6 The "golden rule of prayer" states that prayer begins when we believe and recognize that God is real and available to us.
If we don't honor God first when we pray, we won't be able to hear him or know what to pray. As a result, what we pray will have no legal basis, as we would be violating the golden rule of prayer.
How do we increase our faith in the midst of prayer?
● Practicing repentance as a lifestyle. Whenever sin, iniquity, and perversion invade our hearts, we must go before God and repent; that brings us back to His presence and opens channels for Him to hear our prayers. "He who conceals his sins will not prosper; but he who confides them and departs will obtain mercy ”(Proverbs 28:13).
● Seeking first the justice of God. Above any material good, we must desire to be always on account with God. "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33).
● Always watching and praying. “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak ”(Matthew 26:41). Let us pray together “Beloved heavenly Father, You are the great I AM, eternal, without borders and without limits; You are my source of life, salvation and provision. Today I remove from my mind all limitations, so that you can work in me Your perfect will.
Father, on this day I acknowledge that I have sinned against You. I repent Lord and I give you my life. I ask that Your Holy Spirit bring me conviction of sin. Every area of my life where there is iniquity, guilt and selfrighteousness, I surrender to You Lord. I regret having offended you and right now I ask that Your blood cleanse me from all sin and iniquity. I humble myself and I recognize that everything I am and everything I have is by Your grace. Clean me with Your precious blood. Thank you Father for Your mercy! I have prayed in the name of Jesus. Amen".
