"The potency of prayer has subdued the strength of fire; it has bridled the rage of lions, hushed the anarchy to rest, extinguished wars, appeased the elements, expelled demons, burst the chains of death, expanded the gates of heaven, assuaged diseases, repelled frauds, rescued cities from destruction, stayed the sun in its course, and arrested the progress of the thunderbolt. Prayer is an all-efficient panoply, a treasure undiminished, a mine which is never exhausted, a sky unobscured by clouds, a heaven unruffled by the storm. It is the root, the fountain, the mother of a thousand blessings." - John Chrysostom
- Pray without ceasing - 1 Thess. 5:17

Prayer is the master key!
"Mother of a thousand blessings" Quite striking!
The greatest potential, the greatest honor, unlimited power and unlimited possibilities! For some reason the most neglected. I believe Martin Luther, the German reformer said, “I have so much to, I must pray at least three hours.” When we don’t pray and pray continually it is a sign of pride. We think we can handle it ourself! Don’t need God’s help! When Jesus said in John 15 that we can do nothing without Him. We can make a mess by ourselves! We are the most like Jesus when we pray for others. He ever lives to intercede for us!
God bless!
Amen, thanks for sharing.
Amen! Prayer is essential. @ironshield
Greet post. question- There are some folks to pray continually out of worry and do not seem to be able to release the prayer. They pray without ceasing. But where is the line between praying without ceasing and praying in worry or inability to release? Again thanks.
Worry is the opposite of faith and Scripture states we need faith in order too be answered - however as God knows our build I believe He responds according to it looking at our hearts and the situation working everything together for our good.
So true. These are spiritual weapons not of this world!
