After a thrilling first week of football here is what were learnt...
- Wolves are 100% ready for the premier league
- The refereeing is still dodgy
- And Arsenal are back to their old ways...
But on a serious note here are my reviews of this weeks premier league matches
Manchester United vs Leicester City (2-1)
- After just 2 minutes Pogba banged in an unstoppable penalty putting the red devils ahead early.
- The first half was more or less dominated by Leicester, due to poor passing and touches by United
- However through the second half it was exciting end to end football!
- After luke shaw scored on the 82nd minute, United played very boring and defensive football and allowed Leicester to have multiple attacks, and with Jamie Vardy on the pitch in the last 15 minutes it was a really difficult task keeping Leicester from scoring and as he always does Vardy found a way to get his name on the scoresheet.
Newcastle United vs Tottenham Hotspurs (1-2)
- In a close game of football, Tottenham came out victorious over an 'unlucky' newcastle
- After an exciting first 20 minutes the game was relatively close with Tottenham having a slight edge over newcastle during the game
- Even though Tottenham won, Newcastle looked dangerous and definitely looked promising at times
Huddersfield vs Chelsea (0-3)
- with huddersfield being very unlucky and hitting the post, Chelsea won the game by a decisive 3 goals to 0 and Sarri's new team played well, but need to improve before next weeks game against Arsenal.
- Overall it was a pretty one sided game especially in the second half when Chelsea dominated the game.
Bournemouth vs Cardiff City (2-0)
- with cardiff being the lowest ranked team in the premier league, they have a much weaker squad than most teams and will likely struggle throughout this season.
- in this game the clear winners were the home side who stormed passed cardiff relatively easily.
- if cardiff want to survive the premier league they need to improve a lot to be able to compete.
Watford vs Brighton (2-0)
- Watford won comfortably against brighton and looked very strong
- Pereyra scored both goals and looked on fire during the match
- Brighton will need to improve in their coming matches to stand a chance this year due to the lack of signings they made.
Fulham vs Crystal Palace (0-2)
- Even though the score line shows different, both teams played very well and looked very good in defence and attack, but Palace just had the edge over Fulham in an exciting match.
Wolves vs Everton (2-2)
- In an exciting thriller a 10 man everton come away with a point
- was jagielkas red card to harsh????
-ruben neves scores another amazing goal!!! - both teams looked very good and could do very well this season
- 50 million richarlison scores double to get a point for everton
Southampton vs Burnley
- Fairly average game and not too exciting
- same old southampton??
- burnley held back by only 1 point?
Liverpool vs West Ham (4-0)
- Liverpool start the season by thrashing West Ham
-Salah, Mane and Sturridge all get on the scoresheet - West Ham destroyed by Liverpool and had no chance during the game
- Liverpool to win the title??
Arsenal vs Manchester City (0-2)
-arsenal fails to perform
-city breeze past arsenal
-xhaka had a game to forget
-arsenal fans not happy
