Link? What are the energy requirements like? I'm still hoping to see indoor growing done in a way that is not prohibitively expensive (energetically, or otherwise...)
Here is someone with a simple non-automated system to show how easy it is. But, like I said, you still have to grow plants to full-size in order to get the beans/seeds.
The machines are a little expensive for a single family use. But, if you look at how much it can grow vs acres of land for straw, it is a huge money saver/maker.
And, obviously, you can grow fodder without the machines, but the systems look really cool.
To grow them on your own, you barely need any energy, because most of it is done without light.
