This is the third instalment of photos of the crisis. We are having intermittent problems with the internet and power this evening. We have thunderstorms and heavy rains caused by the effects of a tropical depression off the Pacific coast. Perhaps all will be quiet this night...
Hard to look at these pictures of the police shooting their fellow countrymen. People here in the USA need to look at these pictures and see just how bad things can get when the people in power are only concerned with staying in power.
This shows why it important to have the 2nd amendment stay intact here in the USA. I hate that you and your family are in the middle of this, prayers to you.
Thank you, @sultnpapper! Prayers are important. I think we need a miracle. People all over the world need to see what can happen in a very short time. It does not take much to light a powder keg...
Wishing these rains wash out some of the violence 💜
Me too, @artedellavita! Me too. It has been 50 days but it seems so much longer...
thank you for keeping us up to date on this situation cecicastor.
I went through the other posts, heart breaking to see this going down and then Ortega didn't even go to the meeting?
what are those homemade weapons the people are using?
praying for you all.
They are a type of homemade mortar. They can pack quite a punch. They usually contain lots of homemade gunpowder and sometimes shrapnel. They can be very effective on short range.
thank you!
You are welcome!
What are the homemade weapons being used for in the current situation? I Have just started reading your last 3 posts, hopefully I’ll get the time to read some of your earlier posts so I can understand better what is going on. Thanks for bringing this up here.
Very sorry to see such suffering & I will be praying for your safety.
Thank you for your support and prayers, They are greatly appreciated it. They are making larger mortars. The poor folks don't have money for arms and weapons so they use rocks.
Thanks for the reply. Best wishes.
CNN reported the situation yesterday. It's the first time I've seen anything in the news.
How is your son doing? I think it was your son with the boat accident?
My son and family are stranded in Managua. Daniel, the young man who was caught in a propeller has had his surgery (after a 3-week wait) and is now here being cared for.
In a riot, there are no winners, Just Injuries on both sides with no resolution.
If you cannot get out, then you may well have to ride it out.
Stay safe and be cautious, you are not alone, there are plenty of folk around the world who now know what is going on and are thinking of you all.
Thank you for your help and support. I really appreciate it. My son and I will be on Pennsif's Alternative Lifestyle Show today, second half, God willing and the power cooperates.
I do hope it was a quiet night.
It rained all night so it was quiet, but I have a feeling that tonight and the weekend will prove to be nasty.
You are in my heart and good hopes.
Thanks for your support, @debralee. It means so much to me. I really appreciate it!
So hard to believe you are there. At least you are out of the city.
No one will be able to travel today. The blockades have been doubled. The country is on lockdown and we are not getting much news either.
I find to hard looking at these picture know we are turning a blind eye as a nation blanking this crisis out. 💯🐒
Every day just gets harder for us. We hope and pray for an end soon, but it looks like he is digging his heels in...
