The attacks are gaining in strength. Everything in Leon is closed including the BanPro which is a government bank. They remain closed until further notice. This is the bank that most pensioners and workers receive their pay. The 15th is a payday here.

There is no respect being shown for the churches. On Sunday the masses in the Cathedral in Managua were canceled because the para-military groups had taken over the building and were threatening the parishioners.
On Sunday in Leon, groups of the presidents supporters were going from church to church, defecating in paper cups and spreading it on the priests robes. Many of the other religious groups are complaining of being harassed. Prayer groups are being canceled. Funerals are being kept small for fear of attacks.
Medical care for the injured often lacks compassion. Ambulances are called meat wagons for a reason. Medications are in short supply as are blood and IV fluids. Patients are asked to pay in advance for their bandages with no guarantee that there will be fresh ones available when they need them. The hospitals no longer supply food for their inpatients. Often the dead lie in the street where they have fallen until family can retrieve them. People who die in hospital are left on the loading dock in the sun, next to the garbage.

Small planes are spraying chemicals over the smaller communities. At first it was pesticides. Now I am not sure what it is as it doesn’t smell like any that I am familiar with. Fish in the fish farms are dying.

Managua is a war zone. There is no doubt about what is happening there. Masaya has more dead and injured as well. There reports just keeping coming mostly through 100%Noticias and their informers. The government radio and TV stations only report how pale and stressed the presidential couple are.

Hey @cecicastor, how are you doing? I've not heard from you in a while and you've not posted any updates.
I hope you're ok. Sending love <3
Thanks, Michelle. I haven't posted anything because I just found it too difficult to write about such atrocities. Every day there is more things that just make you physically ill. I will try to post today, but I have a dog that is dying and he is taking a quite a bit of attention. They only ray of sunshine right now is my little granddaughter who calls three times a day just to chat! What would we do with them?
I'm so sorry for everything you're going through right now. Thank goodness for your granddaughter xxx
Take care of you xxx
Thanks, Michelle. What I am experiencing is only a fraction of what the people of Nicaragua are feeling, so I shouldn't complain. It could be so much worse.
The BBC reported on 1st June about Popular protests about the President, with 15 dead.
I can't find any new news.
Keep safe.
I get asked quite often why there is nothing in the international news. I think an incident this week will shed a bit of light. A reporter from Reuters was in the centre of the action with his equipment. His equipment was confiscated, he was roughed up and was escorted to the border. No one knows what happened to him after. They have an iron first control about what is getting out. Why the don't block FB and Whatsapp...I don't know.
If they didn't need the communications themselves, they would shut it down.
:(
That is true! I am hoping he putting that communication to good use...he needs to find a new place to live. He will be turfed one way or another. The people have had enough...
From your mouth, to GOD's ears! Time to take his stolen money and dreams; And LEAVE!
>:(
Same thing. Hardly anything else to find apart from what you are telling us. It is so not in the spotlight...
If basic healthcare and banks are failing...that is often a signal that it is sooooo out of control. As always in these week: be safe!
The whole system here is going to collapse. It is not going to be pretty...
I am so sorry that the situation is getting worse. Here in the Netherlands (although I am in France now, we watch the Dutch news) they tell us nothing about Nicaragua. After your answers to @s0ui and @karinxxl, I understand why. That 's why it is so important that you tell what is really happening over there.
Thank you, Clio! I appreciate your support.
Very well post story-mentor
Thank you so much My Dear friend
@cecicastor
The planes are spraying Chem-Trails in America. When I was a small boy in the 1990's in Oregon, I saw the airplanes spraying things all over the sky and they have been doing these things for decades. They are putting things in the water. Bill Gates is murdering people through vaccines in India. There have been dead fish around Vietnam. Terrible things are happening in China. If you do not have a gun, you are doomed.
Be safe Cecicastor and please protect your breathing with all this spraying going on.
We have masks and when we hear the planes coming we go inside. The kids know what to do too. No touching anything outside until we can decontiminate.
Looks like the country is breaking apart to the point where stabilisation is getting further away. The use of Pesticides and other Chemicals demonstrates an insidious strain to the conflict. Looks like the CBRN threat is now real and being used.
We hit the point of no return last week. The country will have to disintegrate and a new one will have to rise from the ashes of what is left. Ortega gave his answer when he upped the violence against the people of Nicaragua. Yesterday he gave a verbal confirmation saying he would hold early elections, six months before the end of his term. How much more pain and suffering can he cause in another two years of this tyranny?
It makes me ill to read this. I wish you could leave. Please take care. 💕
Makes us ill to witness the violence. We will leave as soon as we can retrieve my son and his family from Managua. That may be some time. The whole country is effectively shut down. Nothing is moving except the guys with the high powered rifles.
I'm so sorry to hear the violence continues. I'm sharing to help spread the news. I hope you can get your son & family and get out soon!
We hope things change soon. It is wearing on the nerves...
Oh my. How are you and your family coping. Is the food supply still supply enough for people to eat.? Can people get out if they want to? We are all praying for your safety up here in Canada. :)))
We are essentially cut off as of yesterday. We can not leave my homestead compound. My son cannot leave his home in Managua. Food will become a problem in the future depending on how this lasts. We are busy planting every square inch that we can with veggies. We have lots of fruit trees. Medical supplies worry me more. There are very few in the entire country. Nothing can get in or out of Nicaragua. We really appreciate all the prayers. There is not much anyone can do for now other than pray. It will be after that this country will need all the support it can get.
Our prayers are with you. I am so glad you have food and hopefully clean water. I will try to keep abreast of your posting as much as I can. Keep safe.
Thank you, @marionbowes!
When Will this end, do what you have to to stay safe. I hope this comes to an end soon.
I hope so too! What took them almost 40 years to rebuild after the last revolution, they have destroyed in two months! How long will it take this time to rebuild?
So sad people have no respect for there home, hope they sort this out
I think respect left with common sense...
Dear Friend, please take care. Keep posting this news until more people get it. Don’t you love my suggestions? Maybe if you asked People to resteem it will get to someone that has influence. The plight of the people is worth it. Always in my thoughts and prayers. ❤️🐓🐓
Folks have been resteeming and I really appreciate it! It finally hit Time Magazine online yesterday! I will keep posting for as long as it takes for people to know what is happening. It doesn't take long for political unrest to become a full blown conflict. Everyone skirts around the word war but I don't know what else to call it when arms are being used to kill innocent people. Men, women, children. They are all targets.
So sorry to hear of the continued violence and destruction. Praying for a quick and peaceful resolution for you and your country.
Thank you. All prayers all welcome. I think we are in for more violence and destruction before we see an end...
Oh my dear @cecicastor ... this is just heartbreaking. Thank you for continuing to keep us updated and making sure the world knows about the horrific situation there. Continuing to keep you in my heart and prayers. xox
Thank you, @jcedwards! It just gets more complicated and terrible as time goes on. I will be posting more today (providing we have internet). I try to get the information out there since I know there is not much in mainstream media...
Oh, honey, we have been nuts busy but thinking of you ALL THE TIME. Stay safe, HUGS!
Thank you, @fishyculture. I know what it is like to be busy. This is a busy time for most homesteaders. I have been in the garden all morning trying to get it straightened around...Mortars and gunfire have increased but it is still in the distance for us. Chris and his family are not so lucky. It is almost too close for comfort...
I don't even know what to say anymore rather than I'm praying for you guys and all the people of Nicaragua.
This is just terrible.
It just doesn't improve. The news every day is just full of more horrors...
Terrible news! I hope you can get out of there. Everyone is in danger it seems. Keep safe always. I hope something will be done about this terrible situation.
Even the Nicas are trying to leave in droves...by no-one can go anywhere in order to leave. Everyone is cut off. We are praying for something to change...
I just caught up reading all of your recent updates. My heart bleeds for what you guys are going through!
I hope this nightmare ends soon. ((Big Hugs))
We hope so too! Thanks for your support, @debralee.
Oh @cecicastor this was making me cry as I read it, and my husband and I have been reading about it as it is hitting the mainstream sites now. I'm so so sorry and please please if there's anything we can do, let me know. I do hope you have got your son out of there now??? xxx I'm sorry it's come to this.
I thank you for following this mess. My son and his family are still stranded in Managua. We were under mortar fire all night starting at 10 pm. We are still hearing them. I have been trying to get posts out but the internet is wonky and yesterday and today I just feel totally drained because of the stress here...
I read about the chaos in Managua in the news today. The scuttlebut is that a family of 6 was killed by Molotov cocktails being thrown through a window. The bottom came out of my stomach. I'm praying your son and family are okay. It feels pretty helpless to be here and know this is happening but not really being able to do anything at all to help.
When you say you are under mortar fire, are people actually firing on your compound now?
Our town is. The mortars are coming close but not into the compound. At any time they could come flying over the wall...
Still following. Still sending love and strength. xxx Keep us posted when you can. WE are all so worried about you all.
Thank you. I will post when I can.
This is horrible ms. @cecicastor! I am with you and your family in prayers...Please take good care and if you could just get out from there...I don't know what to say and what to do but to keep on praying for you and your country...Please take care and keep praying too...we are all here for you, we will keep praying for you, @cecicastor......
Thank you, @shirleynpenalosa. I greatly appreciate the prayers. It is basically all we can do is pray and hope for a peaceful resolution as quickly as possible.
I don’t know what to say that I haven’t said before friend. I continue praying for you and yours safety and this madness to stop. I have lit a candle on my altar for you💜
Thank you, @artedellavita. I have taken a couple of days off from post as I need time to process all the craziness and try to find my sanity...
Xoxo we will all be waiting for you
Thank you, my friend.
As always, my prayers are with you. The spraying is just one more way to inflict pain and suffering on the people, it is a shame that this is taking place and no help is being offered , where is the International Red Cross in all of this? These are the types of situations where they are desperately needed and I haven't heard any mention of them being there helping.
Stay as safe as you can and I'll continue to pray for relief.
Thank you, @sultnpapper. We need all the prayers that we can get. The Red Cross is being run by a corrupt bunch here. It is a sad state of affairs. It just gets worse day by day. I needed to take a few days off to gather my thoughts before I post more but that may change after today...
This made me physically ill...
Those poor babies.
The story I read today was all twisted up. It was hard to tell anything except that a family had been killed for denying somebody - it was unclear whom - leeway to make their home into a sniper's nest.
The family refused to let them use their roof for snipers...
That really is sickening.
Just when we think the situation can't get any worse......we read this. So much tragedy and senseless destruction! This entire situation is very hard to fathom. You and your family and all concerned will remain in my prayers dear @cecicastor (Hugs) (U & R )
Thank you for the resteem. I really appreciate it and all the prayers too. I had to take a few days from posting because I needed the time to wrap my head around all the senseless things that are going on. I will try to sit down tomorrow and write. Perhaps this time I will be able to do it without crying or feeling physically ill.
It is such a small thing to help Ceci. I just wish I could do so much for for you. Please know that you have many supporters here and we stand by you in all of this. Don't worry about feeling you have to write every day, as long as we can resteem what you have already written and hopefully gather more awareness and prayers for you in the process. It is more important that you look after yourself and rest when you can. I'm praying for protection and strength for every single moment. xox
Thank you, @trudeehunter.
You’re re very welcome @cecicastor.
How is everything going out there? Iwas worried about you but you did resteem something recently so you're still there?Did you get your son out? What's going on? xxx Big love xx
We did not get our son our yet. He is stuck there just as we are stuck here. Things are not any better. I want to post but I really feel overwhelmed at the moment. Besides the conflict going on around us, we are still waiting for a baby to be born and one of my dogs is very ill and we assume he will die soon. Will will try to write soon but no promises...
I'm so sorry. We are all thinking of you xx I can certainly understand why writing must seem hard... concentrate on what you need to do xxx 💚💚💚🤗🤗🤗 big love
