What I am

I look just like everyone else,I do the same normal things everyone else does and yet it's still not me.
For years I have watched my government take and take from me and people just like me.I have watched them steal my rights,my money and my time.Every year I go and pay my taxes like a good citizen and I wonder how much of that money is going to fund terrorists our government calls moderate rebels or how much is going to fund stupid things like camel statues in Iraq.
I wonder when I look at the miserable sideshow politics has become when the bottom is going to drop out of the system.
I have friends in Detroit and not that it matters but seeing the decay and the squalor firsthand really does something to you,if you're like me it makes you dig in,hunker down and figure out how to prepare.
Most people think prepping is either a fringe idea or a good idea if you live in an area thay has hurricans,blizzards and the like.

I would argue that it's not just that it is far,far more.
What you can grow yourself,make yourself and trade for puts you very far out of reach of the system at large and if you think the system is corrupt and broken you might not want to be part of it.
Realisticly speaking I would love it if the system could be fixed but I believe it is too far gone.
I believe my country has become the new Rome.
And much like Rome I watch my countrymen and women fall for the bread and circus system.
They watch their sporting events and the TV shows that do nothing to inform or educate but numb the mind and in some ways create a form of paralysis both in thought and in motivation.
I have studied disaster medicine,survival skills,herbalism and other useful skills.
In times past these are things we wpuld have had to know just to survive but in this day and age those skills are no longer necessary.
And yet what if they will be the difference between misery and sucessful exsistance?

I don't know where I'm going but I think I know where this system we call government is heading and the places it will go will hurt us all unless we begin to think of how we will survive without it.
