An emotional attachment to the Award winnning moment!!

in #prize7 years ago (edited)

I wished to share my moment to the steemit community! Hope you like it!

For the previous week, I had the best start. A competition was held where competitors had to solve mathematical and general problem solving type questions. We, a team of 2 participants also took part in the competition. We had just a general thought of "let's sit in the competition", and nothing else more. But believe me, when we were given the questions and we started solving it, we were so deep in it that we found it interesting and mind challenging. We were now full focused in it that "let's solve these stupid questions".

Within a time limit of 1 hour we had to solve 50 problems and these questions ranges from logical mathematical questions to problem solving type questions. We had fun trying to solve them. We had never thought that anything like that would happen. So the time limit was crossed and we submitted our paper. We still had 1/3rd questions left. The questions were logical and challenging that some questions required more time and some less. Overall we couldn't complete in time but the question we solved, we were confident that we had them right.

So, it was a 2 days program and the competition was one of the events of the program & the result was to be announced in the 2nd day. This time, we were in the award distributing ceremony and were watching the prize distribution.

"Now I'd like to announce the result of Game of Codes". We were excited. They started from the 3rd position. Our level of excitement was high. But we couldn't hear our name even up to 2nd position. We seem like it was not our game.
.......................
".....and the 1st position goes to "Mr. Madan Poudel" & "Mr. Sagar Poudel", CONGRATULATIONS!"

WOW! just WOW!

We couldn't believe it. We were just looking at each other and smiling, the smile that said that "How did this happen?". All the people started clapping and we went to the stage to receive the prizes. Walking up the stage, receiving the prize and showing it to the people, wow! just wow!

I had a mindset that day, "you can do it, just don't worry about the result, but give your best at what you do."
