Learning to code isn't just learning algorithms and dict, sets, tuplets, data manipulation, it is a dive into a new world which is co-inhabited by humans and daemons. Mirrors into a digital landscape which fully broken down is Hellish to humanities grip of reality.
OK so the off-switch is a dive into Algos, eternal oblivion, so that's not an option. Perhaps spiritual guidance from the Word could give guidance.
Maybe the path forward involves shaping the world into a divine monument to God, and incorporate the aspects of humanity which push us ever-forward towards the divine. Those that are righteous and wholesome.

How can a painter draw without knowledge of the brush. How can a musician compose a song without the knowledge of scales? Learning to code is a divine act.
