Since I have officially messed up my mentoring, I'll tell you now how it came about, what my consequences are and how I will deal with them in the future.
Plan your day / your week
Write a list and write down your goals for this day or the whole week. So you won't lose sight of them and if you ever get bored, you can work on them instead of being bored or unproductive.
Planning requires skill, but you won't reach your goals without planning!
Don't get distracted!
Distractions won't get you anywhere and hinder your workflow. They are practically everywhere and you should try to eliminate all sources of interference:
Clean up your workplace and make it so you can concentrate 110% on your work.
During your working hours, clear your mobile phone and do not reply to messages. If something important should happen, you will probably be called. (Also a source of distraction - judges itself)
Get rid of mobile games and other gimmicks that only eat your time, but have no further positive influence on you! See THIS ARTICLE for more information
Recognize the problems
Problems will always be encountered in your daily life and tasks. Learn to recognize them early and eliminate them in the best possible way. Learn from experience so that it won't happen to you again in the same situation.
Emergency emergency handbrake release
If your planning has been bad or the above mentioned points have been ignored and you fail to pack a target in time, then rationally consider which goal/task you can best do without. Try not to do more than one at a time, but shimmy from task to task. If it should happen that you just can't do everything, then learn from it, find the error and fix it for the future, so that such events don't happen again!
Summary for improved productivity:
- Plan your day / week in advance!
- Do not get distracted and eleminate everything distracting you!
- Recognize problems and solve them instantly!
- Finish your tasks as soon as possible. Do not wait until the last day!
- If you can't complete all the tasks, sacrifice the one with the lowest priority and least impact.

Are you german? I am too :) Never settle for less, focus on the man that you wan´t to be the things that you wan´t to write and the achievements you want to accomplish. I know the feeling of demotivation but i guarantee that the most developement happens when you do it anyways. I made an video to that topic it might interest you. Great video, dont stop. Tschüss :D
Yes, I am german. Did you watch my video? Because imo every german recognizes an other german speaking english instantly.
The problem is, that you can not hold your productivity at 110%. It is more like a sinus-function swinging up and down. Even if the focus is set and you have your goals in sight does not mean you will succeed easily without failing here and there. But overcoming failure is important and unavoidable on the road to success.
But there are still many things making it harder for us to achieve our goals, but are easily avoidable
Thanks for commenting & Grüße aus Frankfurt
I am going to plan my days to be more productive, thanks !!
Nice one. Will improve everything, trust me! But takes some time to optimize this skill.
I've always had partial success with planning my day.
The tasks on my to do list are usually freestyled.
I have an idea of what I want to achieve, and I work on them whenever I like. I should probably try to make it more organized though.
Freestyling and keeping in mind can work good depending how much you have to do. But it is always better to write them down to get a better overview. I was always the guy improvising 24/7 and driving good doing so. But I could be much further by now if I had planned my task, goals and future better
That's true. I journal a lot, so my future goals are all laid out on paper.
I'm more of a freestyler when it comes to the day to day stuff.
Looks like I'll have to spend more time writing my daily goals down.
Failing is a blessing when we learn something from it for the future. It's important that we don't make the same mistake twice.
True words!
I like that you recognize your failure and have taken the steps to avoid it in the future. Because of that, it really wasn't a failure - just a learning experience!! I really enjoy your posts and think you are still destined for greatness even with this one setback. :)
Thank you really much! I appreciate your your comment.
