Sure. I read your article. By trying to protect the system from bots you favor some people over other people. The measure of stoppage that you propose is very easily circumvented by imposters. However, I am not about to argue with you on your methods. You are an intelligent person and I think you will make your own conclusions from our discussion.
One more observation I wanted to bring to your attention here. I read somewhere that the system here favors the people who vote on the new entries that they think are going to eventually gain many votes. Now let me bring you the following example.
I am not sure if you ever watched on Youtube a BBC series called “The Medici - Godfathers of the Renaissance.” This is an excellent historically valid and culturally rich documentary, which took many efforts and money to produce.
However, I remember another video called “Girls go wild” where two silly teenage girls are jumping in the bed that had over 2 million views. So if I were to see these two newly released posts I would have favored “Girls go wild” over “The Medici” post and the current system would have praised my efforts. Yet, I think the cultural value of these posts is vastly different. If I were you I would favor a better video over more popular, simply because most popular videos are usually indulged poor taste.
Alright, thanks for wasting my time and telling me what I should favor over others.
If you are saying that I am favoring some people over others because they verify their integrity of the account, than yes. With my limited time and projectnewbies limited contributions (which are increasing a lot lately and a post will be made shortly with more information) we have only focused on the verified posts, but ever since the start of the project we have mentioned the ones who aren't verified and introduce themselves, that we will over time try and let them know about the opportunity of projectnewbie and if they in some way can verify their existence from another social platform just so we know they aren't hear to get a quick "profit" from making up a person and post, then we will support those too.
I personally haven't had too much time on focusing on the project myself lately but am glad other users have stood up and started contributing. I like that more users are taking the initiative to create more of these curation trails and helpful projects and wouldn't mind them joining forces to make this platform even better for the new user-base. There is absolutely no competition in mind here and no special gain for those who contribute except the weekly prize pool which will consist of SD and in time SP (once its divestable it will be added to the weekly prize pool for contributers to receive if the SD amount is a lot lower than usual depending on amount of contributors)
The reason I mentioned that is in case someone from the other projects thinks that the SP that is gathered on @projectnewbie is for my own gain, as stated in the first post it will be there to accumulate and be used as voting power on the accounts the project is directed at. The posting key of the account has already been shared with other Curators and if the platform wants more trust about the account, I am willing to give away the owner key to a reputable member of the platform to change it and take care of the prize pool.
Sorry, you for your lost time. I wanted to talk to someone who's running the show at steemit, but apparently I contacted the wrong person.
