RE: On-boarding the DigiByte Community to Steemit was always going to take time. This is the latest tweet that has just gone out.

Stephen,

to create an account has a small fee associated with it (around $5 USD) payable in cryptocurrency. If you want to pay more, the excess is used to add STEEM to the account.A while back you asked if there was a way around the bottleneck of getting a SteemIt account. I had forgotten that there is another way. I ran across this today, you can use @blocktrades to onboard some DigiByte members. Using https://blocktrades.us/create-steem-account

Since the DigiByte community is likely holding cryptocurrency, this may help some people get around the bottleneck. You can check the link out to see how creating an account via BlockTrades.us works.

Have a great week!
Steem on,
Mike

Thanks Mike, I appreciate this. Over the last few months I have been working closely with a large group from the #DigiByte Community helping to on-board them and have given them all the options available to them. Sadly, I feel that I can only do so much and simply give them as many options as I can to join. I am extremely conscious that I don't won't to give any specific method for fear of something going wrong. All I do is direct them to the Steemit FAQ page and point them to the various methods of joining. That way I don't expose myself to any specific method should it fail to work for whatever reason. Have a great week Mike and as always thank you for your overwhelming support and all the retweets. Stephen
