This week has been the most exciting and adventurous in my life! I am really excited to have been among the history makers as Uganda hosted the first ever Africa Blockchain Conference.
As you might be aware by now,i was among the Ugandan Steemians who attended this wonderful event.
In previous weeks to the event iI had written of how some members from the Uganda Steemit team will be representing at the conference in our new Shirts as you can see below.
The words on the back of our shirts is the Steemit website as seen in this pic.
The lady in pink is also a Ugandan Steemian @musiime who linked up with us.
I realised that these shirts made noise! We were contacted by some people who already knew Steemit and also those inquiring what we do...!
There were many people suprised that Steemit exists in Uganda.I was also surprised that some Ugandans have been on Steemit for almost 2 years now!
CryptoTv Plus.
She is the one with me in the first photo above.Among the people I met was @sushie who is Nigerian who had come with their company
The CryptoTvplus company covers crypto related activities in Africa.
Since its a crypto company, she interviewed the Steemit Uganda team and we are just visiting for the video so that I can post it
I was very happy to meet a fellow Steemian in this part of the world.
Another Steemian I met was @chris-bates who was really suprised to find enthusiastic young people promoting Steemit in Uganda.
Here below is a group photo we took with him
We had a very great time talking to Chris and he was among the wonderful speakers of the day.He talked about Blockchain use case in land registry.
As you can see from that image below,he is the CSO of Bitland Global.
We talked of ways we can see how to contribute to Bitland here in Uganda and many other crypto related things!
I also met a Steemian @kevent1 from my neighbouring country Rwanda. He is a very ambitious young man who is fully involved in crypto.
I had to meet him the day after the conference so that we could talk more about his crypto projects.
We talked of the many business ideas we could partner. He is really enthusiastic about crypto and I liked his philosophy.
I am in touch with him and I also connected him to the Rwandan Steemit team so that they can help each other.
I will be also compiling the details of the Ugandan Steemians i met at the conference and we shall be meeting them in our next meet up.
These guys I met above were and are really awesome and am still in touch with them.
This is all I had for you today.
