Is there an age qualifications for someone to join Steemit?

in #promo-steem7 years ago (edited)

In our modern world, children with the age of 3 and above have a fair idea of technology and how it works. Use see 5 year old kids with ipads and cell phones playing around with them. But instead of wasting time playing games cant they make something profitable

Question on board is , is there a specific age for one to join #steemit?

A visit to the children's home( orphanage) by #steemitashanti drew my attention to this.

Let's meet @linda @zenabu @princess @rifca @angela and @fass who are inmates of this orphanage. These girls approached me and asked if they could get a username on the paper. Why not?. But wondered in my mind is it possible for these kids to be on #steemit.

I think it is possible and very necessary. Seeing them gave me a thought about how they can make it in life also using steemit.

We always say that these kids are our future leaders. But leaders always see the way forward in everything.

How #steemit would help the kids now and in future.

  • There are different #steemit-school projects here on steemit.Kids with difficulty in a topic can come around and learn from their tutors here. With no fees to pay. @geke a very good friend has sessions like that. Where she tries to explain things better for a 6yr old to even get. She is such a great teacher. Even as they do this, they inturn earn for their future. They dont need to wait to turn 18,16 and above before they can start up something for themselves.

  • Steemit can also pull out every bit of talents from them.Kids can develop their talent through steemit. There are writers, musicians, Computer loving kids(IT) out there who are wasting their talents and not benefiting from it in anyways. With the usage of #dtube #dsound #dmania #dlive just to mention few, these kids can skip the difficulty in writing so much and just upload their videos and pictures of their works. @steemsports also involved in sports is a great mentor for kids who would like to move into sports.

They can also join #challenges or #contests which are related to their field works.Kids can post their works in these channels. Which make it easier for their talents to be seen.

  • Steemit can help these kids also learn to save for the future. Delve into cryptocurrencies and start up something big.

HAVE MY NIECE WHO IS READY TO JOIN STEEMIT....

Teach the child the way to walk on, and he will never depart from it. Steemit empowerment to the young generation is a good step. Nice one @jeandmee

Well said dear, we must involve the young ones because they can also add value to the community

As far as I know there is no age restriction to join Steemit. However guidance from the adults is an absolute necessity to protect them from online predators. In our part of the world we have #myjuniors initiative to help Steemians kids to learn to create content. We held simple workshops (drawing/crafts etc) for these children (once a month) and encourage them to mingle with other children to build friendships. The parents can choose to create a Steemit account for their children or they can use their parents' account to post. My kids are using my account to post their artwork once a week.

Yeah these young ones must get early training so that by the time they grow up....they are already genius in it and even do more.

Kids working on their talents at early stage help them understand the concept
Of their talents earlier. This helps them to develop their potentials on their talents
bettering their best when they are fully matured. So i think kids with such bright
talent can exhibit theirs on steemit through the help of parents guidance. @jeeandmee.
