I believe the biggest upset was Italy who failed to qualify since 1962. Only in 1958 did they failed to qualify into the finals. When comes to Football, Italy is considered giants of the game with 4 world cups into there names. What a miss.

The Favourites
The teams that is expected to reach at least the quarter finals of this years World Cup is Brazil, Spain, Germany, Portugal, France and host Russia. Argentina and England might qualify but they are a big doubt this year. Egypt might creep in with the form of Mo Salah is having right now at Liverpool.
My bet goes to Germany winning this years trophy. They are definitely the highest favorite winning this with the likes of Sane, Muller, Neuer, Kimmich, Boeteng, Reus...and many more, the list just goes on and on and on. They don't just rely on one person, they are a team...a creative hardworking team.

So this is it, this event only happens once in 4 years. There will be happy and sad faces around this time, and there will definitely be sleepy faces to work...lol.
The best thing about this World Cup is to bring the world together, leaving aside differences, forgetting the past and look forward to a better future. Peace happens when the world unite to watch football..the most watched and beautiful game on earth.
