Bungong Jeumpa / Cempaka in Indonesian (Camellia sp) is a flowering plant flower from Magnoliaceae tribe with medium-sized tree with height reach 25 meter and diameter 50 cm. Stems are straight, round, smooth bark colored grayish brown. The header is rather rare and slightly widened with irregular branching. The leaves are single, intermittent, slightly widened lanceolate, medium-sized and feathery on the underside. Yellow, fragrant, large-sized flowers are arranged in a string that grows on the leaf's armpits. These flowers include plants growing in the Tropical and Subtropical regions of South Asia and Southeast Asia as well as South China.
Jeumpa flowers still include ancient plants and their origins can be traced up to 95 million years ago.
